Energy from Waste.

Specialist Industrial Trades on Complex EfW Projects .

Energy from Waste

Energy from waste plants are among the most technically and commercially demanding construction projects in the UK.

The combination of tight commissioning programmes, multiple principal contractors, C5 corrosivity environments, passive fire protection requirements and the complexity of working on a partially operational asset creates a project environment where industrial trades need to be delivered with precision and without surprises.

Think Industrial Services has direct experience on EfW construction programmes, delivering scaffolding, intumescent coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, cladding and permanent access as a multi-trade subcontractor. We understand the environment, the documentation requirements and the pace these projects demand.

What We Deliver

We cover the full industrial trades scope on EfW projects. From temporary access and structural fire protection to cladding, permanent access and firestopping, under one package.

Scaffolding

Temporary access structures to support construction and maintenance phases.

Intumescent fire protection coatings

Applied to structural steelwork and documented to ETAG 018 and ASFP standards.

Anti-corrosion coatings

C4 and C5 corrosivity specification systems to blast-cleaned steelwork

Cladding installation

Profiled and composite cladding to building envelope.

Firestopping and passive fire protection

Penetration sealing and compartmentation works .

Permanent access

Walkways, fixed ladders and maintenance platforms installed and certified .

Why us

Choose us for EfW projects that need industrial trades delivered to the right standards, on the right programme, by a subcontractor who already knows the environment.

F.A.Q’s

Yes. We’ve delivered scaffolding, intumescent coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, cladding and permanent access on EfW projects. We understand the documentation requirements, the corrosivity environments and the commissioning programme pressure that comes with this sector.

Yes. We apply intumescent fire protection coatings to structural steelwork documented to ETAG 018 and ASFP standards. Correct specification and full application records are provided as standard, not as an afterthought at handover.

We specify and apply anti-corrosion systems to C4 and C5 corrosivity standards on blast-cleaned steelwork. Waste bunkers, flue gas treatment areas and associated steelwork all present aggressive environments. We understand the specification requirements and apply accordingly.

Yes. We’re experienced working on live and commissioning-phase EfW sites, operating within permit to work systems and the safety management requirements that come with a partially operational asset. We integrate with site safety protocols rather than creating additional management overhead.
